very poor service

I ordered an X-Large vintage T-shirt from artapart.com at the end of June, 2009 as a gift--figuring that it would arrive in plenty of time before the recipient's birthday in mid-July. A couple of weeks later, I received the shirt in a size medium. I immediately contacted the company via email. I was asked to send a photo of the shirt with the tag verifying the incorrect size and was told that they would send me my shirt in the correct size within a week. A whole month passed and I still did not receive the shirt. In spite of my various emails to the company (throughout the month of July), I rarely ever received a response reassuring me that my order was on its way. In fact, I rarely ever received any response and began to think that they were hoping I had forgotten about my order all together. It wasn't until I wrote them and mentioned contacting the Better Business Bureau that I finally received a response...and even then, I still didn't get my order when I was told. It took well over a month before I actually received my correct order and by then, the gift recipient's birthday had long passed. I will not be ordering anymore merchandise from artapart.com based on this experience and the poor customer service this company provided me.
