This online electronics store offers a new “Bill Me Later” feature. Bill Me Later is an option offered through many online retail stores which allows consumers to buy now and pay later for their selections. Simply add the items to your cart, click the Bill Me Later option at checkout, answer two quick questions and that’s it. Receive instant credit approval and the option not to pay for 90 days. Buyers can make payments on products by choosing to receive a monthly statement in the mail.

The Buy.com Experience:

Upon entry to the site we noticed the daily and weekly specials as well as the holiday specials tabs. Not only did we find hot deals on gifts but there was also a buying guide to help consumers learn more information about the latest online electronics. Buying guides are extremely helpful when searching for electronic gifts for the holidays.

Making a purchase on Buy.com was relatively easy. Once you place an item in your shopping cart, simply choose which option you’d like to use to pay and click. You can pay with a credit card, pay through Paypal, use Google check out or use the Bill Me Later option to make monthly payments on your items. The site offers free shipping on most items, just look for the little icon of the yellow or red truck located in the shopping cart which tells consumers when to expect their items. This was a pleasant surprise since many online retail stores charge an arm and a leg to ship electronics due to the fragile nature and the security issues related to such items.

This online electronics retailer offers a large selection of online electronics. The selections include video equipment, home audio equipment, A/V Essentials, personal electronics, camera and photo equipment, home electronics, car audio and video as well as home appliances. Buy.com also offers extended warranties on most of the electronic items they carry. The prices for the warranties vary from product to product.

Customer Service:

Unfortunately the only option to contact customer service is via email. Star Reviews could not locate a contact number on the official website. This is disappointing as most online electronics stores offer a toll free customer service phone number for online shoppers to call with questions or website issues.

Upside:

The daily and weekly deals and the holiday specials are great, as most online shoppers are looking for a good price. In comparison to other online electronics retailers, Buy.com has reasonable prices. There is a large selection for online shoppers who want to buy electronics online.

Downside:

The Buy.com website is rather busy. The customer service department can only be contacted via email. There is no contact number found on the website.
