As we read some of the reviews, we found that the customers were very honest and wrote about both good and bad product experiences.

We found that CircuitCity.com’s return and refund policy is a bit complicated. Many items can be returned by mail whether they were purchased online or in a store. Most electronics are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee including products such as digital cameras, monitors, printers, PDA’s, GPS, etc. Electronic or technology items are also subject to a strict 14 day return policy.

CircuitCity.com has a toll free phone number to call for orders and customer service. It took less than two minutes to get through to a live representative. The representative was quite friendly but was unable to fully explain the return policy as it related to electronics and the items which were subject to re-stocking fees.

Upside:

CircuitCity.com offers convenient features such as ordering online and picking up from a local Circuit City store within just 24 minutes. Additionally, CircuitCity.com offers free shipping on orders for $24 or more which does make the stand out from competitors who have high shipping costs.

Downside:

CircuitCity.com has a complicated return policy where most technology items are subject to high re-stocking fees. The prices at CircuitCity.com seem to be higher than their online competitors for the same or similar products.
