Who hasn't heard of or used mega search engine Yahoo? Yahoo Movies is their take on all things film and we must say, we really enjoyed some of their features, especially MyMovies. Not only can fans and movie lovers create their own profiles and social network in a sense, they can add their own movie reviews, create favorites lists, rate flicks, etc. Yahoo, as always, places an emphasis on news and information (which we cannot live without) and offers a unique ‘Movie News & Gossip’ section. - High definition trailers for more than 90 movies.
- Movie Mom reviews - get professional insight from the Movie Mom herself--renowned writer Nell Minow.
Star Reviews likes Yahoo Movies for their fluid and visually appealing website interface. In typical Yahoo fashion, they offer a ton of features without overloading you with excess text or images. Once again, you must purchase your tickets through Movietickets.com at $1 convenience fee per ticket, which is comparable to most other movie ticket services minus Fandango, who offer lower rates. There is a FAQs section if you should need some assistance, but no comprehensive customer support here. We doubt you'll need it. Yahoo Movies earns 5.5 Stars!

Overall, we felt that Movie Tickets offers a great experience for anyone interested in the latest movies out on the Hollywood scene. Navigating the website is easy enough, with all important links clearly indicated. There weren’t as many community functions or fan reviews here, but they did have the basics of a movie site like trailers, images, and upcoming movies. - Free podcast movie descriptions and ‘coming soon’
- Kid-friendly movies
Star Reviews enjoyed this movie ticket service, although not as much as some of the others we researched. We must give Movie Tickets credit for providing direct ticket purchasing through their site, as many of their partners take advantage of their extensive ticket listings for over 80 chains throughout the US and globally. Customer support was ok here, but it can be improved. The FAQs and email support were on point, but telephone support was rather unfriendly. All in all, we award them with 5.0 Stars!

We liked what we ran into on Cinemark, but not as much as some of their competitors’ movie ticket services. They offer the basics of any movie website, with trailers, new releases and film images. Their website was effortless to navigate and we found most everything we needed with relative ease. We liked their CinéArts theater feature, as there are many film buffs who like foreign and indie films out there. This definitely caters to a more artsy crowd. - Private events such as birthday parties, business meetings and VIP events.
- Weekly email movie showtimes.
Star Reviews has to admit that we enjoyed what we saw on the Cinemark and although their features weren't as extensive as some of the other movie ticket services, they offer enough. They charge $1 per movie ticket as their convenience fee, which is comparable to their competitions' price ranges. Customer support was a little disappointing, as the section itself was hard to find and email support never replied back to us. Telephone support was not geared toward general customer support inquiries and the rep was rather unhelpful. But, they still win 4.5 Stars!

Hollywood offers anyone interested in movies a great, feature-filled website. Although, we must remind you, you cannot purchase movie tickets directly through this site, as they’re partnered with Movietickets.com as well. We really enjoyed the scrolling entertainment news, celebrity birthdays, convenient movie calendars, and all kinds of video spotlight features. Any film buff is sure to find something to keep them entertained here. - Fan Sites - Love Leo DiCaprio? How about Selma Hayek? Make your own monument for your favorite celeb.
- Movie newsletters, movie premiere galleries, celebrity birthdays
Star Reviews liked the Hollywood website, even if it's a little busy with a plethora of scrolling text and images. The convenience charge for movie tickets purchased through their partner Movietickets.com will cost you $1 per ticket, with tickets running according to theater and location. While we understand that direct ticket purchasing is not available through this site per say, we felt there should have been customer support, as it was truly lacking here. There is no FAQs, email or telephone support. If you have any questions about purchasing, it's best to refer to their partner. They receive 4.0 Stars!
