Almost a perfect service

We've been newsstand.com subscribers for over 6 years now and have generaly been completely happy, with a few important exceptions. The service offers two reader interfaces, iBrowse and iReader. iReader is by far the better interface for us (but perhaps not for all customers). But it only supports some publications and requires a program to be installed on your Windows computer that does not exist for the Mac.
iReader always downloads the entire publication you are accessing, in the background, after you start reading it. During the summer months we are on a fairly slow satellite link to the Internet and HATE an interface like the one in iBrowse that requires us to wait for a long time every time we turn the page. iBrowse fetches pages as you request them, and is not very readable on the new netbooks because it doesn't readily use the full screen width. Navigation with iBrowse also requires more than just the arrow keys that you can uise with iReader, so iBrowse is not very convenient for reading in bed.
We cancelled one subscription after Newsstand started offering that newspaper only with iBrowse. Newsstand used to ofer more publications with BOTH interfaces available and we never got a good answer as to why they stopped supporting iReader on many.
