Once we got Security Shield 2009 security software up and running we were surprised at the number of features that were actually available to us. Not only were we able to experience the detection and removal of various viruses and spyware, we were able to do much, much more. The parental control feature, for example, allowed us to keep other users from accessing places that we did not want them too while the real time detection feature took care of problems right on the spot.

The system scans were fast, ran in the background and posed no problem to our system's performance. The security software found every security risk on our system and explained each risk to us, helping us decided what was really a problem and what wasn't.

The only real problem that we had was trying to keep track of all the features that this product had to offer. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, getting to know the ins and the outs of the product can take a little bit of time. In the end, however, it will definitely be worth it.

Security Shield 2009 Customer Service:

Security Shield 2009 was surprisingly well covered when it came to customer service. We were able to make use make use of a well developed web based help section that includes a FAQ and installation guides. As if that wasn't enough we also had access to live chat and email support that gave us answers to any problems that we encountered right away. Though the best feature of our customer service experience was the fact that we could allow for remote access. This allowed the Security Shield 2009 customer service team to troubleshoot our issues for us.

Upside:

Parental control, competitively priced security software, real time threat protection.

Downside:

Numerous features require a little bit of time to learn.

I am not much of a computer person so security shield technical support was great and Ii really appreciated it. I see a lot of comments related to their support and I concur completely.

Highly recommend them if nothing else, at least for their support.

I am not much of a technical person but security shield seems to be protecting me fine. But the customer service was great. live chatted with someone and helped me remove my old norton before i installed pc security shield. Not a chance i would have gotten this running without free support.

I had mcafee on my machine and could not get that crap off. security shield customer service helped me get it off and get security shield on. product is working well but the support really saved me
