Our Favorite Feature:

We liked the fact that Spreadshirt.com ships all of its orders within 24 to 48 hours. Some custom t-shirt companies make you pay extra for "priority" processing if you want your order shipped that quickly. With Spreadshirt.com, fast shipping is just par for the course.

The Spreadshirt.com Experience:

Spreadshirt does not offer a top-of-the-line custom t-shirt experience. The design tool was a bit difficult to navigate and the "images" the site allows you to use for your designs look more like clip art than actual shirt art (and we mean clip art from the 90s, not today's cool graphics).

That being said, if you just want to upload your own images and not play with text, Spreadshirt.com may work out well for you. The site allows you to set up your own Spreadshirt store in five easy steps. Just provide them with your personal information, choose your store's color and layout, select the store's name, create products and publish your store. In less than an hour you can have your own Spreadshirt store up and running.

You can also buy custom shirts designed by other Spreadshirt members. Unfortunately, we didn't find many quality designs to choose from. There were just too many of those old-school clip art graphics being thrown around. Some of the more pathetic designs we came across were a big red heart (that's all it was – a clip art heart), a circle and a bat.

If you're just looking for a site that will let you upload your design and print it on shirts, Spreadshirt is one company you might want to look at. If, however, you want advanced design tools, a community filled with talented designers or comprehensive marketing features, this isn't the place for you.

Spreadshirt.com Customer Service:

Spreadshirt.com's customer service left much to be desired. First of all, the online help is nearly nonexistent and phone support is not an option. You will need to resort to an email form, and an answer won't come quickly. It took the company almost two full days to respond to our email inquiry.

Upside:

Fast processing, no fees to set up a store, decent pricing.

Downside:

It's not as polished as it needs to be.
