We are not very impressed with this company. First, the basic and lowest family package for 2 phones, only 700 minutes, and then adding texting cost us $130 a month. Plus, one of the phones has a navigator we do not use, but get charges another $10 for a month. We can not take it off the phone and even after bringing them the phone they can not either and still they charge us. This brings me to the issue with the phones. We have had 2 Samsung glide for a year and have hated them the whole time. They are touch screen and dependent on that ability. Often they do not respond at all and are complete crap. We have waisted an afternoon bringing them to the local verizon for the software update they said would fix the issue. It did not and though both phones still have issues and hours on the phone with customer service the most the company will do is to let me trade in one phone with a fee of course, but not the other with the very same issues. They told us to buy 2 new phones or look on ebay... We paid over $400 for these phones! We are not comfortable staying with them and may pay the fees to break the 2 year contract early. Customer service is worthless.

We have had Verizon for years. We do not have any problems with dropped calls and we live in very rural area. Be very careful about hidden charges and small print. They will send you things saying they are Free or minutues/usage time will not be charged then charges will appear on your bill. One example is when you get a new phone and use backup assistant to transfer your contacts. In writing there is no charges but they charge for usage and other things. It took 52 seconds according to them to use this and the total usage charges and taxes were over $5.00. The letter I have says usages charges will be waived but customer service said that is a mistake and refused to refund the charges.

In terms of getting the biggest range for your money, I believe Verizon offers a superior mobile service. I hardly ever encounter a time when I am roaming and there are many times I can get service in parts of Mexico and in rural areas.
