It seems that Netflix is thriving in this recession and with news that Blockbuster Inc will possibly file for Chapter 11 protection they only seem to be gaining more ground in the DVD Rental world.
Honestly what could be better than sitting home and having the movies you want to watch come right to your door? Forget about driving around spending gas and waiting in line, just pick what movies you want to see online and grab them from your mailbox in a few days.
The idea is a simple one, and even in these tough economic times it seems people are willing to rent DVDs online as an affordable way to entertain on a budget. With the news pending about Blockbuster there will be roughly $2 billion a year in annual rental revenue that needs to be absorbed by other rental companies - no doubt good news for Netflix.
