Your Blackberry Storm: More Than A Phone... A Chauffeur?

We all remember a few months back when Verizon Wireless released the new touch screen Blackberry Storm it generated a bunch of buzz. Fast forward a few months and a lot of users were unhappy with the performance of the phone and couldn't wait to activate their old phones again. The comparisons with the iPhone have been beaten like a dead horse - the iPhone with AT&T seems to take the cake as the touch screen cellular device. |
There is however one interesting application I have yet to see an iPhone do, and being an avid motorsports fan I was very impressed and intrigued by the latest application for the Blackberry Storm. How about driving a remote control car with your Blackberry Storm?
That seems fun enough, but let's make that excitement in full sale - how about driving a McLaren Formula 1 race car with your Storm!? That is exactly what happened with European cell phone giant Vodaphone and large McLaren sponsor - just shows with some money and an idea for some viral video marketing, anything is possible.
I would rather be in the seat of that multi-million dollar machine (not an easy thing to handle either), but the fact that champion driver Lewis Hamilton can control the car from the cell phone is pretty awesome. Now the begging question is... Is this real footage or a docked up viral video? Either way who cares... its horsepower and technology crossing over, What's better?
