The Perfect Marriage Proposal
You’ve got the girl, the ring, and now all you need is the perfect scenario for your marriage proposal. You could be generic and get down on one knee, professing your everlasting love. Or you could give her an experience she will truly never forget. Use these tips as an inspiration or just steal these ideas to make your future wife’s big moment as unique and special as she is.
Go big. You've already blown as huge amount of money on the engagement ring, why not put yourself into even more debt by making one of her seemingly impossible childhood dreams come true. Some women have always wanted to see Paris; others have had a secret desire to get behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car. Don’t take the easy way out by booking a travel agent or making a few quick phone calls. Plan this entire adventure yourself and cater it to her specific needs. For instance, if your girl is a fan of the film "Gone with the Wind", hire actors to reenact a famous scene from the movie and cast yourself as Rhett Butler and your girlfriend as Scarlett O’Hara.
Go small. Keep the proposal intimate by skipping the candle lit dinner for two and instead tell her that you’ve blown a tire and need her to pick up a new one from an auto body shop. Make sure to mention a few times that you won’t be there because you’re otherwise detained. Ask the shop attendants if you can use a bit of their space for your big moment. If these people are suckers for romance, you won’t have too much trouble getting everyone into the act. When she arrives at her destination, ask one of the workers to escort her into the shop area. To make it convincing, give one of the mechanics the make and model of your car so the rouse seems legitimate. Affix the ring box onto the tire and wait until she notices it before you walk out and ask her to say “I do”.

Meet somewhere in the middle. Take a traditional setting and give it a little twist. Fix her a charming picnic for two, but have it on a roof top instead of a park’s lawn. Bring her to dinner at a fast food restaurant and propose in the drive thru. It doesn’t matter where or how you ask, just make it a complete surprise. A lot of times men will hint around that a diamond is on the way, or the couple will go ring shopping together. Give her no clue whatsoever that you are even thinking about marriage.
Good luck and hopefully your lady tells you the word magic word that you are anticipating. How could she not say "yes" with the sweeping romantic gesture that you've planned?

And I was thinking that hanging the sign on the side of the Atlantic Avenue Bridge and pulling up on the boat was pretty damn romantic.
