I was first introduced to the idea of saving money with online coupons when I repeatedly received emails from my daughter stating she saved over 75 percent off the total cost of her grocery bill. I had received 6 emails before they finally caught my attention and desire to read. The subject of the emails read "My Savings for Today". I was instantly envious as I started reading the long list of products she had purchased for cents on the dollar. "How does she do it?" was the first question that popped in my head.

I had to find out and before I finished reading the email, I found myself calling her.
My daughter belongs to several internet couponing and refunding sites that keep her informed of all the current sales and also subscribes to several newsletters that are offered by these types of coupon sites. When a deal comes up, she is notified immediately by email. She then prints the coupons off the internet. Some coupon websites let you print a maximum of 2 coupons while others only let you print one if the item is free. She searches to see if the item is on sale and then uses the printed coupons at the store to achieve the maximum savings. Ok, now I am hooked, so I decided to do some research myself, call it printing if you will and this is what I found.
My cat just saved $7.00 on 2 bags of food. $3.50 per coupon on any size, any flavor, any formula and my favorite rescue agency of my own choosing gets $1.00 when I use them. I now am the proud owner of 2 cans of free Ravioli using two $1.00 printed coupons. I own 26 packages of toilet paper with a retail cost of $101.14 and my grand total was a little over $6.00 for tax. The coupons were for a free package. It is comforting to know I will never be stranded while saving the environment and helping my furry friends.
Not all stores take printed internet coupons. You can ask at the store where you shop. Some stores have a limit to have many you can use per day per item or the printed coupon will state one per product, per person, or per visit. Some coupons have restrictions while others don’t. It’s a good idea to check the face of the printed coupon first before your shopping trip so that you are familiar with the store’s coupon policy. Each store where you shop has a store policy posted or you can ask the manager for a printed copy. Also keep in mind that although printing the coupons from the Internet, there is the cost of the printer ink along with your time and gas that you might want to factor in.
I was amazed at all the great deals out there. You will be too.
