The news is good for Samsung and better news for the mobile phone generation. Samsung appear to be interested in the long term game with their customers and have taken the radiation emissions threat to the heart of policy and production.
Whilst Samsung Impression has been reported in recent months as a potentially problematic device and I quote from an internet reviewing site has received multiple complaints about the Samsung Impression phone;
"To be more specific, every time you active T9 on the Impression’s QWERTY keyboard, and then touch "I", followed by a space, the phone simply crashes. So, that pretty much says it all – Samsung Impression users now just have to wait for the manufacturer to release a software update to fix the problem".
It seems that on other fronts the Samsung Impression phone is leading the industry in minimising radiation issues. "Go, Samsung, Go!"
Whilst I feel quite long in the tooth with regards to worrying about such things, it is very good news for those worrying parents who may have concerns over the length of time their children spend nattering on the phone.
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has just released an internet consumer guide regarding radiation emissions. The comprehensive guide has named the Samsung Impression mobile as the best phone when it comes to reducing radiation emissions. The top 10 phones named by the EWG are as follows;

Some facts on the Samsung Impression for those who may be considering running out and purchasing the lowest radiation emitting mobile phone on the market are as follows;
The Samsung Impression for AT&T offers one of the most crystal clear mobile phone viewing experiences thanks to its 3.2-inch AMOLED touch screen. It’s paired with a full QWERTY keyboard for long email messages and mobile blogging. The keyboard slides out from the side of the phone for ease of use.

Samsung Impression can quickly download video, music and more over AT&T’s lightning quick HSPDA 3G network. Additionally, with AT&T’s 3G network, you can listen to a conference call on a headset while sending and receiving e-mail attachments, picture messages or Web pages.
If you are interested in more than just the Samsung Impression phone I would recommend a visit to read the EWG recommendations.

The EWG suggest that some of the most popular phones on the market today are potentially the most dangerous in terms of harmful radiation emissions and whilst it has been a hotly debated subject for many years, the EWG research appears to be inconclusive in terms of proving any relation between the use of mobile phones and the risk of cancer.
However, within the report EWG do go as far as advising less use of mobile phones and restricting that use to hands free and texting wherever possible and also not to use your phones in areas where the signal strengths are weak.
I’m not an expert; I pick up my phone, dial and speak. Apart from the occasional trip out as an alarm clock when I’m on business trips, the functionality is somewhat lost on me. Therefore
Samsung Impression is almost ideally suited for me as while functionality is not as important for me, I will certainly rate this news on low emissions as a plus putting it as a front runner on my mobile phone shopping list.
Well done to Samsung, you’ve certainly given me the right impression!
