Some of us remember a solemn little girl playing her dreams out on Hannah Montana when we think of Miley Cyrus. But, after seeing the Teen Choice awards many people have been avidly dubbing Miley Cyrus as being the next Britney Spears. I personally grew up during the time period when Britney and Nsync and all the pop bands were in full swing. Britney Spears has made quiet a name for herself over the past eleven years. But, spectators are looking at Miley Cyrus to be the next Britney for many young girls today.
But, do we need another Britney Spears? For the people that grew up listening to Britney and watching her travel down her different paths of destruction many will proclaim that there will only be one Britney Spears. It is kind of humorous when you think about the young girls who are growing up with Miley Cyrus and bands like the Jonas brothers.
It is almost in a sense like history is repeating itself all over again. Miley Cyrus does have everything that Britney had at her age. She has the look, she has the sound and she has tons of teen boys that are in awe about her.
However, Britney’s impression on the young rising star did not seem exceptionally pleasing at the Teen Choice Awards. In fact, Miley Cyrus awarded Britney on the stage and was snubbed away by the controversial Spears.
Personally, I believe that Miley Cyrus may be everything that Britney Spears was not. She has her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus who has pretty much helped out to keep Cyrus grounded while she begins her quest onto the main frame. Britney was simply running wild when she was Cyrus’s age.
The sound between Cyrus and Britney does seem to bear some close similarities amongst the other. However, ever since Britney revolutionized her sound after her disgruntles with her past husband Kevin Featherline, we have all come to see Britney in a brand new light.
I predict that as long as Miley stays grounded and keeps a positive perception on her career than she will go far. There are already so many girls that absolutely love the young teen pop star. But is the adamant amount of love enough to call Miley the next Britney?

I’m not extremely prejudice on the subject of Miley being compared to Britney, but I do believe that there are some major differences between the two. Many have remarked that Britney would be the next Madonna, but as her toils in life got in the way of her career many are not proclaiming the same thing about the star.
I believe that Miley could actually top Britney. With renowned dedication and a smarter head on her shoulders than Spears, Miley could prove to be the next Madonna instead of Spears like everyone had so avidly proclaimed.
